Františkovy Lázně
- The town of Františkovy Lázně is situated close to another important centre of this area - Cheb.
- The springs have been locally known since the 12th century, the first written mention about pumping the "Cheb-water" is however dated 300 years later. The village of the Emperor Franz was established in 1793 and the fame of the future Františkovy Lázně, a wealthy place surrounded by greenery with the miraculous healing effects of local natural resources, flew across the borders of Europe and across the ocean.
